A spiritual journey amid the wonders of Romagna.

The Viae Misericordiae is a spiritual itinerary that winds among the beauties of Emilia-Romagna, providing a unique opportunity to unite faith with the discovery of a territory that abounds in history and traditions. Various modes of travel may perfectly well be used to go along this way, promoted by the Diocese of Faenza, including walking, cycling and horseback riding. The Viae Misericordiae is flexible, so that anyone can undertake the journey regardless of how good a shape they are in. The stages, in fact, are divided in such a way as to allow everyone to find their own rhythm and take a route suitable to their capacity.

By bicycle: a tailored experience. The Viae Misericordiae gives cycling lovers the chance to explore the area more dynamically and adventurously. Nevertheless, we do stress that not all the stages are bike-friendly. There are very challenging sections in the hilly and mountainous areas, with steep climbs and unpaved paths that make cycling particularly challenging. For this reason, our advice is to concentrate on flat stages and gravel roads, which are easier to cope with.
